  3. Draw air into the syringe by pulling back the plunger to the prescribed dose level.
  4. Insert the needle into the insulin vial and push the plunger to inject the air.
  5. Invert the vial and syringe, ensuring the needle remains submerged, and slowly pull back the plunger to draw the prescribed insulin dose.
  6. Remove any air bubbles by gently tapping the syringe and pushing the plunger until bubbles are eliminated.
  7. Administer the injection subcutaneously into the appropriate site as instructed by a healthcare provider.
  8. After injecting, allow the needle to retract into the barrel automatically and discard the syringe in a designated sharps container.
